New Water Treatment Facility

We were commissioned to complete a scheme which had already commenced. The scheme was to use heat from an adjoining combustion process to process waste water. The scheme was in build when our commission commenced. Our role was to establish the feasibility of the scheme and prepare a business model to confirm the viability of the scheme. The operating company advised us from the start of our commission that the project was in financial difficulty and our role was to review the current expenditure to date, and establish a completion cost and programme. We established the required capital needed to complete the scheme and advised the board of the operating company what would be required to complete the project. The operating company agreed that the scheme would progress, and we were commissioned as Project and Commercial Managers to proceed with the build out of the project.

The project was eventually stopped prior to final completion due to the difficulties with funding. We contacted a number of investors to establish if this scheme was of interest. An investor who was involved in the scheme commissioned us to provide an independent report in relation to the project, and also requested an Options Study. This was issued and the scheme was unable to be completed.
