Multi Storey Car Park

This major new car park provides an increase in the existing parking capacity for both employees and products in a location immediately adjacent the plant. The site is in a prominent location on an arterial route, and acts as an entry marker for the JLR site. The design reflects this with a refined and elegant translucent skin of perforated metal and louvres which soften the appearance. This provides a visual screen for the new product.

PCM lead the project through the design, planning, tendering, and construction stages through to final hand over to JLR manufacturing. The works involved the removal of a significant proportion of the existing car park, significantly reducing available on site parking for employees. PCM worked with the JLR senior management to establish solutions to minimise the disruption to the employees.

Due to the sensitivity of the position of the development, PCM worked closely with the adjoining neighbours and the JLR union to ensure the neighbours and employees were fully informed of progress and to ensure there were no problems or issues. Part of the scheme involved major junction improvement works on the busy arterial route to create a new and improved entrance into the multi storey car park.
